Next week, residents can register to vote, grab a library card, and even donate blood all at one convenient Spring Hill event. Hernando County's Tax Collector hosts a Community Resource Fair and Ribbon Cutting on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., connecting families with vital services at their 7701 Forest Oaks Blvd. office.

This family-friendly fair brings together numerous local organizations from across Hernando County. Residents can explore health resources with the Florida Department of Health, meet representatives from other groups, and learn about available programs and services. Beyond the vital information, attendees will enjoy food trucks, a DJ, and special activities for children. The Florida Department of Health, located at 7551 Forest Oaks Blvd., will offer parking next door, with event signage guiding traffic.

This event promises more than just official business; it offers a central hub for neighbors to explore and access the many resources our community provides. What valuable connections will this comprehensive gathering create for Hernando residents?

Cutting-edge drone technology and specialized public safety training now prepare future professionals right here at the Pasco-Hernando State College (PHSC) East Campus. A ribbon-cutting today unveiled the Wilton Simpson Science and Innovation Center, a brand-new facility dedicated to equipping students for high-demand STEM careers and strengthening local workforce development.

The center showcases the latest technology, offering hands-on learning opportunities across various specialized programs. From public safety training to advanced drone technology, it will prepare the next generation of skilled professionals. County Commissioner John Allocco, who serves as Vice Chair and a Trustee of the PHSC Board, and Hernando County Administrator Jeff Rogers attended the opening of this crucial facility, named for Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Wilton Simpson.

This accomplishment promises to benefit students and our community for many years to come. How will these innovative programs shape our local talent pool for tomorrow's challenges?

Hernando County just opened the door wider for local contractors, inviting applications for construction projects valued at $500,000 or less. This pivotal step by the Procurement Department creates a clear pathway for General and Specialty Licensed Contractors to join the County’s crucial Pre-Qualified Contractor list.

This isn't just another registry; it's a direct pipeline to securing local government work. The County aims to expand its pool of trusted partners, adding newly approved businesses to an existing roster. Importantly, current pre-qualified contractors automatically remain on the list and do not need to reapply, ensuring continuity for those already serving the community.

Businesses eager to tackle these specific construction opportunities should immediately review the detailed qualification requirements and submission instructions. You can find all the necessary information on the Hernando County Procurement Portal. Will your company be among the new faces helping build Hernando's future?

Summer fun is in full swing at Buccaneer Bay, offering thrilling water slides and crystal-clear spring waters to families and friends. The location presents itself as "no better place" to cool off and make memories.

As days of sunshine and splashes continue, what experiences will unfold at Buccaneer Bay this season?

Hair Dye Causes New Problems. We’ll Fix the Original One.

Hair dye works. That's not the debate. The debate is what it costs you: the box every few weeks, the smell, the roots that give it away, the hairline that starts looking painted instead of real. You fixed the gray and created new problems.

Particle Anti-Gray Serum works differently. It targets the root cause of graying — restoring pigment gradually, naturally, without dye. Hair and beard. Results that look like yours, not like a product. Five seconds a day. Thirty-day money-back guarantee if you don't see a difference.

Over a million men trust Particle. This is the product that earns that number. Get 20% off and free shipping now with the exclusive promo code BH20.
